Xfce desktop

Xfce is a free software desktop for Unix and other Unix-like platforms, such as Linux, Solaris and BSD. The goal: fast, lightweight, visually appealing and easy to use.
The current version, 4.4, is modular and can be used again. It consists of separate components which together provide a full desktop functionality, but these components can also be selected in subsets to create a working environment tailored to the needs of users. Xfce is mainly used for its ability to run a modern desktop on a relatively simple hardware.
Xfce-based toolkit GTK + 2 (same as GNOME). It uses the window manager Xfwm, which are described below. Configuration is entirely driven by the mouse (the mouse), and configuration files are hidden from casual users.
